Abstract

In 1920, 23 April, First Assembly was opened with the participation of the deputies coming from Ottoman provinces of era and the members of last council deputies. Although in Assembly deputies coming fromd ifferent provinces most of them come from Eastern Provinces. Hence, this study is centered on Eastern Provinces and First Assembly period. Initially, in this study, to understand First Assembly the relation between the state and Eastern Provinces and the process until the establishment of First Assembly is given with some historical fragments. In the second part, 147 deputies of Eastern Provinces and their activities in the First Assembly is investigated.
