In this study cochlear implanted children aged 9 to 11 years old were examined in general intelligence performances, emotional intelligence performances, emotion recognition and expression from facial expressions skills, theory of mind and adaptation skills. The sample includes 66 cochlear implanted children, their parents and their school teachers. Children s intelligence was assessed with Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-IV (WISC-IV). Emotional intelligence performance of children was evaluated with Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory: Youth Version (EQ-i:YV) which was filled out by parents and psychological adaptation evaluation was collected from parents with Hacettepe Psychological Adaptation Scale. Participant s social adaptation skills were assessed with Meadow Kendall Social-Emotional Assessment Inventory for Deaf Students which were filled by teachers.
