Abstract

The report examines the life of Béla Bartók, one of the major composers of the twentieth century, and his first violin concerto in terms of music and playing techniques. After a brief statement of the composer‟s life story and his works for violin, the study broadly analyzes the music and playing techniques of first violin concerto.
