Kültürel Bellek Aktarıcılığı: Divriğili Alevi Kadınlardan Dijital Hikâyeler

Abstract

Rather than examining Alevism theologically, I see the necessity of examining it as the embodiment of cultural guardianship and cultural transmission. With this in mind, the study that I would like to carry out will include my own ethnicity and family heritage, and the relatives I would like to learn about the journey of these traces. Although the number of written sources on Alevism has grown in recent years, the noticeable absence of narratives and personal stories remains. This perspective is ignored in historical, theological and anthropological academic studies, and the oral culture tradition is ignored. Therefore, thanks to the Digital Story Workshops, Alevi stories will come to life and will be told for decades to come. By looking for traces of Alevi memory transmission in the narratives, the reasons for the ruptures, changes and transformations in this transmission will be understood. Another of my goals is to create a Digital Storytelling Workshop that creates its own rituals, transforms practices, connects people and reconnects those who do not know each other personally. Our study population is based on mothers who were born in Divriği district of Sivas and migrated to Ankara and their daughters who were born in Ankara. Individuals between 18 and 90 years of age will be preferred. Whenever possible, representation of at least two generations will be sought. In this way, the impact of intergenerational communication on Alevism narratives will be revealed. My aim in the reported research is to examine how Alevism narratives can bridge generational gaps through an interaction framework based on Digital Storytelling that can result in learning for younger and intergenerational communication between two different groups, mothers and daughters. This study aims to examine the historical transformation of Alevism, its transmission through oral tradition, its development as a gendered narrative shaped by women, and the positioning of women within the Alevi female identity as they negotiate their roles in a patriarchal social context.
