Abstract

In this study, wall ceramics were analyzed from architectural perspective. In the report, the interaction and relation of architecture and ceramic art was researched. To be able to analyze wall ceramics from architectural perspective, the report was divided into five main parts. In the first part, the definition and the relation of architecture, art, ceramic art, wall and wall ceramics were included. In the second part, observed life, cave art and tile art was studied as surface arts. In the third part, the interaction of architecture and wall ceramics were analyzed. The importance of wall ceramics in architectural buildings were analyzed as well. In the fourth part, ceramic artists and their wall ceramic examples were included. In the fifth part, wall ceramics were designed and applied as personal practices. This study report was completed with the conclusion part by analyzing the research data obtained. As a result, in this master’s study report, the relation and interaction in between architecture and ceramic art was evaluated within the scope of wall ceramics.
