The aim of this study was to investigate investigate the factors affecting the caregiving burden of the caregiver working in the special care centers serving the disabled individuals. 254 caregivers working in 5 private care centers with capacities of 360, 165, 145, 145 and 130 participated in the study. Research data were collected using a questionnaire. SPSS 24.0 package program was used to analyze the data. As a result of the study, caregiving burden levels of the participants were determined as “Light“. Participant’s care burden levels was compared to some factors such as caregiver and disabled person’s socio-demographic characteristics and some differences were found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). Based on the findings, some suggestions were made for both practitioners and researchers.
