Abstract

In the humanist era, humans, positioned as a dominant subject over nature, have increased their transformative impact on the planet in the Anthropocene era; this has led to the degradation of nature and the disruption of the ecological balance. The posthumanist approach, on the other hand, aims to render visible the interdependence between humans, nature, and technology by removing humans from the center. This thesis examines the human-nature relationship within the framework of humanism, the Anthropocene, and posthumanism. In this context, the thesis questions the ecological damage caused by human intervention in nature through image constructs constructed through the interactions of natural and artificial objects. Drawing on examples from art history, different periodic approaches to the representation of nature are examined. In personal artworks, through the juxtaposition of these objects, an intellectual and aesthetic language is created in which the boundaries between nature and humans are blurred. The study associates posthuman thought with contemporary art practice, questions the dominant relationship that humans have established with nature, and, by making ecological awareness visible, raises awareness of this issue.
