Abstract

The actionality is lexical time category of inner structure of the verb. Every verb consist of start, process and end stages. Some verbs have a realization style that emphasizes one of these stages. This realization style is called actionality. There is a transformation point that must be reached in order to that have a actionality. When these verbs interact with structures such as art acts, objects, and envelopes, this turning point is displaced and the actionality is altered. The structures that cause change are called transformativization markers. The main subject of the study is the functions of auxiliary verbs that transformativization markers. Auxiliary verbs combine with verbs to form a unified verb. Uzbek is a rich language for auxiliary verbs. The materials chosen for the study are various Uzbek novels, including Abdullah Kadir's Ötken Künler novel. Combined verb structures in the samples from these novels were examined in terms of the change of actionality. The study consists of eight chapters. In the introduction, the subject, purpose and method of the study are explained. In later chapters, the concept of actionality and the determinations of various researchers on this concept are discussed. The auxiliary verbs used in Özbekci were determined and the functions of the 23 verbs were explained. In the conclusion section, the data collected during the research process was evaluated. The aim of the thesis is to contribute to a better understanding of the concept of actionality.
