Aksak Tartımlar Üzerine Solfej Metodu Önerisi
Özet
The one of the first lessons that a student will take when starting out on his/her professional music career is undoubtedly the solmization education. When we take a look at the solmization education that has been carried out at our conservatories and music schools, we can say that our culture is not well-represented. The first thing that comes to mind is there is no mention of aksak (assymetrical) rhythm, which represents our rhythmic feature. The first goal of this study is to create a solmization method for these aksak rhythms.
The other focus of the study is to introduce Modern Turkish Music literature to students and also make them enjoy this type of music. When we take another look at the solmization education, we can clearly say that there is no improvement and the students cannot even encounter Turkish composers until they graduate. Furthermore, combining the solmization education with the pieces of the Turkish composers can have a good impact on the students' enthusiasm.
The final aim of this study is to combine these two ideas and thus create a solmization method. This work can be seen as a stepping stone towards creating that solmization method.
