This research was planned and conducted to examine the effect of working conditions of housekeeping staff working in public institutions on work motivation and alienation.
Within the scope of the research, include state agency which located within Ankara province and also 80 or more housekeeping staff were accepted to participate in the survey.
In this research, tried to connect 518 housekeeping staff completely they worked in Ministry of Finance, Tax Inspection Board, Four Regional Directorates of Highways, Pursaklar Governorship, Saray Unimpeded Living, Care and Rehabilitation Center and in a public institution, but 393 housekeeping staff who accepted to participate were included to research.
In this research, prepared a questionaire form to collect data. The questionnaire form that prepared for used in the research, consists of four parts. In the first part, questions that aimed to determine individual characteristics (gender, marital status, age, education level etc.) of the housekeeping staff working at the institutions, In the second part, used '' Working Conditions '' scale, in the third part '' Job Motivation '' scale used in motivation measurement and in the fourth part '' Work Alienation '' scale.
End of th research, there was no significant relationship between Confidence and Compliance (r =, 076, p =, 133) and Job Satisfaction and Working Conditions (r = -, 130, p <.01). When the relationships between the subscales of both scales were examined, a significant, low and inverse relationship was found between Working Conditions - Wage and Satisfaction and Work Motivation - External Motivation (r = -, 151, p <.01).
There was a significant and low negative correlation between Working Conditions and Alienation to Work. Significant, negative, and low, Social Insulation (r = -, 098, p =, 053) between the weakness of the work alienation (r = -, 128, p <.05, r2 = relationship found. There was a meaningful relationship between the subscales of Confidence and Compliance and Work Alienation (r = -, 205, p <.01) , 073). There was a significant negative correlation between weakness (r = -, 169, p <.01) and Social Isolation (r = -, 192, p <.01) from subscales of Confidence and Compliance and Work Alienation.
There was no significant relationship between job motivation and sub dimensions and Alienation to Work and its sub-dimensions.
There were statistically significant differences between working conditions and job motivation and gender; There was no significant difference between age, education level and marital status.
