Ebeveynlerin Bebeklik Döneminde Karşılaştığı Problem Davranışlar ve Çözüm Yaklaşımları

In this study, problem behaviours that parents encounter in toddlerhood and their approaches for solutions are investigated with the developed Toddler Problem Behavior Scale (TPBS) and by mixed research. At first, it was tested that TPBS is reliable with 295 parents who has child between 19-36 months and was registered the Family Health Centers in Ankara province Keçiören county; with 0.89 Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient, the scale was reliable. Second, there was a mixed research that 404 parents who lived in Ankara and whose child was between 19-36 months participated, they were chosen by simple random sampling. Quantitative research’s results were showing that there was TPBS mean score significance between the toddlers who is educated in a preschool and not educated, between the parents who has only one child and two children, between the parents who has only one child and three and over children, between the toddlers who has first birth order and second and over birth order, between the parents who follow up family elders as a source of child education and the parents not follow up them, between the parents who use inscribed sources for child education and parents not use them. Qualitative research’s result showed that the parents mostly talk with toddler, distract the toddlers attention, wait for toddlers calming down, have physical contact with toddler, warn the toddler against problem behaviors.
