Sanatta Doğal Yapay İlişkisi Ve Yeniden Üretim
Özet
GÜLEÇ, Gamze. Natural Artificial Relation in Art and Reproduction, Masters Art Study
Report, Ankara, 2018.
In the report titled "Natural Artificial Relation in Art and Reproduction" the method to imitate in
art was described via Aristotle's view on mimetic art. The way in which the method of copying
throughout history was used as a strategy by artists has been examined. Copying is not just a
sign of mastery but at the same time it has become a language for things that want to be
expressed.
The situation of ordinary object copies becoming art objects was discussed and rather than
discussing how much of a good copy, which glorifies the object, it is, the effects of the artist
factor that changed the viewpoint of the viewer towards the object were discussed. For artists
the manual production and machine production techniques are not only a question of technical
diversity, but also provide a new perspective for the work by adding different meanings and
interpretations. The disappearance of the uniqueness of the work of art from the reproduction
has enabled us to think about what art and the artist should be. When the copied natural objects
and artificial objects are examined in the state of artistic works, they are differentiated by natural
and artificial concepts and thus it is possible to open the interpretation of the art object itself, as
opposed to the copied object.
The report, in which a detailed investigation of the methods of reproduction was carried out, was
supported with personal studies and new contexts and new ways of expression were tried to be
found. As a result of the studies, a new perspective has been created on the
copying/reproduction strategy used as a method of "Natural Artificial Relation and
Reproduction" and in practice it was tried to present personal contributions to contemporary art.
