In this thesis, entitled ‘’ From Istanbul to Paris: A Costume Book , attributed to Huseyin Istanbuli’’, one of the Costume Books, which generally, were produced outside of the palace and has been become widespread in 17th century, which we can define as painting anthologies that present various sections from the Ottoman society , are handled in the context of Ottoman Painting Art. The album, which dated 1688 (N.od.7) and occupied in the collection Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris, was prepared by Mussavvir Huseyin who is a member of palace painting shop. The album, which there is no signature on its paintings, was discussed by comparing with his other known paintings and was attributed to him. It was determined that, the examined album and his other albums that produced in the middle of 17th century brought some innovation to Costume Book tradition in the point of iconography and style. There are 60 paintings in this album and sultan, grand vizier, palace officers, women and men from the public, ecclesiastics, dervishes, juggler are the persons on these paintings. The presence of these costume books, which were produced by the palace artist that are the result of European taste and appeal, are showing that the artists supported by the palace are also active in addition to the group called the artist of the street in the costume book market
