İÇ MEKÂN TASARIMININ İYİ OLMA HALİ ÜZERİNDEKİ ROLÜ: EREMITO OTELİ ÖRNEĞİ
Özet
In today's world, the need for individuals to maintain their physical, mental, and emotional balance has become increasingly important due to ever-more complex living conditions and rising stress factors. The concept of well-being has emerged as an approach aimed at enhancing individuals' quality of life and supporting their overall health, making it a focal point for many disciplines. Spaces, as environments where individuals spend a significant portion of their daily lives, are among the key factors that directly influence well-being. Therefore, a well-being-oriented design approach has become an essential requirement, aiming not only to shape human experiences positively but also to consider spaces as environments that enhance users' overall well-being.
In this thesis, the interior design of Eremito Hotel in Italy was analyzed to evaluate well-being-oriented design requirements through a real-world example. Using the content analysis method, the study assessed the extent to which the design met contextual, functional, ergonomic, psychological, social, sensory, and aesthetic requirements based on the opinions shared by hotel guests on online platforms.
The research findings reveal that Eremito Hotel's design philosophy plays a supportive role in promoting well-being, emphasizing the necessity of focusing on this approach in interior design. This study offers a model that can guide future design processes.
