Ankara Çevresi Geçiş Törenleri Bağlamında Düğün Türküleri
Özet
Folk songs; constitute an independent field of study of folklore as artistic creations that are the voice of
nations and take their subjects from the history, existence of the people, and elements that have taken place
in both the collective and personal memory of the individual. The most important element in the production
and transmission of folk songs is the performance environment. Wedding ceremonies, which are ceremonial
transitions, come first in the musical performance environments of folk songs. Folk songs direct and
manage the ceremonial transitions. As in all oral culture creations, the folk songs of each region have a
meaning and function within the culture they belong to. In the study, wedding folk song products were tried
to be determined around Ankara with the methods of participatory and non-participatory observation,
directed and undirected interviews. It was aimed to reveal the importance of these products in the wedding
ceremony, which is a ceremonial transition, within the oral cultural existence. The field research of the
study was carried out in the province of Ankara and in the districts selected as pilots; Kahramankazan,
Yenimahalle, Ayaş, Altındağ, Mamak, Gölbaşı, Sincan, Kızılcahamam, Çamlıdere, Polatlı. In the research,
an attempt was made to identify and examine in detail the folk songs performed in the context of wedding
ceremonies in oral culture.
