Pozitif Okupasyon Değerlendirmesi 15 Ölçeğinin Türkçe Adaptasyonu ve Şizofreni Tanılı Bireylerde Geçerlik ve Güvenirliğinin İncelenmesi
Özet
This study aimed to adapt the Positive Occupation Assessment-15 (APO-15), an instrument designed to evaluate participation in positive occupations that enhance individuals' well-being, into Turkish and to examine its cultural adaptation, validity, and reliability. The study involved 263 participants: 97 individuals aged 18–65 diagnosed with schizophrenia in remission and 166 healthy controls. The translation process followed Beaton's guidelines. Validity analyses included construct validity through factor validity, group differences, and external tests. During the application phase, no issues regarding cultural adaptation were noted, and the fit indices indicated that the model adequately explained the data. The findings revealed significant differences between individuals with schizophrenia and healthy controls (p<0.05). The scale effectively distinguished these groups in terms of positive occupations. Reliability analyses included test-retest reliability and internal consistency measures. Seventy participants (35 from the study group and 35 controls) completed the scale twice over a two week interval, resulting in significant positive correlations (p<0.01). The scale demonstrated high internal consistency, with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.818 for total and individual factor scores. The ROC analysis identified a cutoff value of 47.5 for the schizophrenia diagnosis group. In conclusion, the Turkish version of the APO-15 is a valid and reliable tool for assessing participation in positive occupations that support well-being in individuals with schizophrenia and healthy adults aged 18 to 65.
