FERİT TÜZÜN'ÜN ''ÇEŞMEBAŞI BALE SÜİTİ'' İSİMLİ ORKESTRA ESERİNİN MÜZİKAL ANALİZİ VE ORKESTRA ŞEFLİĞİ TEKNİKLERİ AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ
Özet
This research focuses on the musical analysis and orchestral conducting techniques of the
orchestral work titled “Çeşmebaşı Ballet Suite,” which Ferit Tüzün, one of the secondgeneration Turkish composers, created by revising his 1954 orchestral piece “Anatolian
Suite.” This revision was made upon the request of Dame Ninette de Valois, who was invited
to Turkey in 1965 to assist in the establishment of Turkish ballet.
In addition to examining the musical structure and conducting techniques of the work, the
research also covers Ferit Tüzün’s life, artistic personality, and contributions to Turkish
ballet music. The aim is to provide enlightening insights based on the analyses and findings.
Through direct and indirect quotations, as well as various analyses, the research seeks to
reach a comprehensive conclusion.
The research employs the literature review and document analysis method, and the analyses
are conducted under two main headings: musical analysis and orchestral conducting
techniques. The conducting techniques are discussed through the sections identified during
the form analysis, with beat techniques illustrated in diagrams and interpretation details
marked on the score.
The evaluations and findings in this research are considered significant in terms of providing
benefits to students studying at conservatories.
