In the history of thought, in response to the question of what human being as a species is, it has been stated that he she is a being of nature, of reason or a being of both nature and reason. From this perspective, the problem of human being is handled in terms of the relationship between will (desires appetite) and reason. Plato and Aristotle were the first philosophers to define the desire and reason as two distinct parts of the soul of human being. As to these two philosophers, reason will direct the behaviours of individuals thanks to the fact that reason is the managing principle of souls and therefore human being will be defined as a rational animal.However, in our age, we should admit that reason, as it is supposed, has not been a ruling principle in individual and social life of human-being (yet).
