Sağlık Sektöründe Büyük Veri Üzerine Bibliyometrik Analiz ve Sistematik Literatür Taraması
Özet
As the pace of digital transformation accelerates, the significance of the technologies underpinning this process continues to grow. Among these technologies, big data is gaining prominence, driven by ongoing technological advancements. Big data has being increasingly utilized in the healthcare sector, particularly with the emergence of global pandemics like Covid-19. Similarly, there is a growing literature on big data in the healthcare sector, forming a substantial base of the research. The purpose of this study is to investigate the use and impact of big data in the healthcare field by examining the literature through bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review. In the bibliometric analysis, the Web of Science database was selected, and performance analysis and scientific mapping were used to identify prominent authors, institutions, journals, and countries in the field of big data in healthcare. For the systematic literature review, databases such as Web of Science, The National Academic Network and Information Centre, and Council of Higher Education Thesis Center were selected. The review articles were analyzed based on their topics, selected keywords, and conclusions, while the research articles were examined from the viewpoint of their objectives, methods, application areas, and conclusions. For the bibliometric analysis, 357 studies were examined from the year 2013 to 2023 using the VOSviewer and Bibliometrix software tools. For the systematic literature review, 46 review articles, 132 research articles, and 7 theses between the years 2013 and 2023 were analyzed. The bibliometric analysis revealed that the most productive author was Yin Zhang, and the author with the highest connection strength was found to be Joel J. P. C. Rodrigues. India was the country with the highest publications, while the United States standed out as the country with the highest connection strength. The journal IEEE Access was found to be the most prolific and influential journal. The most cited study was "Big Data Analytics in Healthcare: Promise and Potential." The systematic literature review showed that the application areas of the studies in the first five years (2013-2017) covered the general healthcare field, while in the last five years (2018-2023), topics such as security, privacy, and data management in health sector emerged. This trend was also observed in the thematic evolution analysis. In the conclusion section of this study, the results of the analyses were examined and evaluated. The reviews concluded that future research opportunities should focus on databases specifically covering the healthcare field. It has been observed that the issue of privacy and security of big data in the health sector has been searched only from a technical point of view. In future studies, it has been revealed that the issue of resistance to the use of big data by employees and society in the field of health should be examined. Additionally, it was found that there are few studies on big data in the healthcare sector in Turkey. Thus, this study aims to guide future researchers in their studies.
