Humanity has, from time to time, adopted certain behaviors and practices in order to overcome any bad situation it has encountered in almost every phase of history. He thinks that the way to get rid of the mental crises he experiences such as natural disasters, pandemics, economic problems, unhappiness, loneliness and fear is to believe. Superstitions provide the opportunity to connect with the social-cultural roots of societies, which have survived to this day by feeding on people's powerlessness against nature. Although it is known that some of these beliefs provide psychological relief to people, they often turn into paranoia that begins with obsession. In line with the investigations, superstitions that contradict positive science and the negative aspects created by these beliefs, rather than the negative aspects created by these beliefs, were investigated how objects that seem to be symbols of some superstitions affect people's behavior in different cultures and their place in society. In the applications, those that inspired these superstition objects were selected and evaluated and their reflections on contemporary ceramic art were tried to be revealed. In the first part of the study, the concept of superstition, the place of superstitions in human life and superstitions in Turkish culture are mentioned. In the second part, superstitions of different cultures are explained with examples. The rest of the report includes personal applications. In this section, experiments were also carried out with plants used in the textile field, which are thought to be a resource for technical researchers in the field of ceramics. As a result of the experiments, the effects of natural plant dyeing methods on ceramic surfaces were evaluated and they were applied on ready-made object forms inspired by superstition objects.
