Özet
Individual and societal, emotional and psychological changes interact in the formation of human personality. These changes shape how a person perceives themselves and their surroundings, as well as their reactions and behaviors. Social interactions and personal experiences leave traces in a person's emotional world, and over time, these traces form the cornerstones of their psychological structure. Therefore, personality development is considered a complex process shaped by the combination of both internal and external dynamics. It is nearly impossible to find an area in individual, social, and artistic life where emotion does not play a role. From daily life to works of art, it is possible to see the traces of emotions everywhere. Emotions play a fundamental role in the formation of individual identity and are also central to social relationships and interactions. Art stands out as a field where these emotional processes are expressed most intensely and impressively. Works of art create effects in the emotional world of both the artist and the viewer, and these effects leave lasting traces in social memory. However, the rapid changes and intense stress experienced in modern society can lead to numbness in the emotional world of individuals. Numbness can be defined as the state in which individuals suppress or struggle to express their emotions.
Numbness can also emerge as a mechanism for coping with traumatic experiences, weakening emotional expressions in the process. Increasing isolation in society, childhood traumas, and superficial relationships can lead to a lifestyle devoid of emotional depth. This situation creates a large void filled with feelings of loneliness, insecurity, insensitivity, and uncertainty. The convergence of these feelings can cause individuals to lose their sense of identity and wholeness.
