A question has been asked originally by Ernst Straus: does there exist a closed geometry such that a point-like light source is unable to illuminate all areas in the geometry? That question was later answered in the positive by Roger Penrose and his father by proposing a geometry, later named the Penrose unilluminable room. First, the geometry is re-examined in the context of classical electrodynamics. Then, the geometry is modeled in the context of cavity quantum electrodynamics methods to formulate the behavior of light quanta, photons, in the geometry, resulting quantum walk phenomenon. Computer simulations and numerical calculations are given in that respective order for classical and quantum behavior of light in the geometry, and a calculation of the global entanglement between qubits and fotonic modes, which were introduced in the process of modeling the system, is also given. The model shows that as the photon number increases in the geometry, the behavior of the system converges to the classical case.
