Parmak İzi Tayini ve Parmak İzinde Patlayıcı Tespiti
Özet
Fingerprint examinations, one of the first fields developed in forensic science practices, are performed by physical and chemical methods. Fingerprints, which have an important place in the determination and capture of the perpetrators of crimes, are also one of the frequently obtained evidences in improvised explosive devices (IEDs). It is important to ease the public conscience in the terrorist attacks where the IEDs, which threatens public security, and to identify the explosive substance used for the manifestation of justice.
In this thesis, nitrogen doped carbon quantum dots (N-CQD) were prepared and used for fingerprint and TNT determination. N-CQD were synthesized by the chemistry research group where the thesis study was carried out and Uv-GB, FTIR, Raman, TEM, XPS and Zeta Potential measurement techniques were used for the characterization.
N-CQD was used for the determination of fingerprint and TNT together onto surfaces (rough, smooth, sticky, dark and light color) that are likely to contain IEDs elements. A method was developed to visualize latent fingerprint and TNT was determined in the TNT-containing fingerprint. To demonstrate the effectiveness of N-CQD, comparison tables were created using an automatic fingerprint detection system.
