Milli Mücadele Döneminde Mizah Basını: Ay Dede ve Güleryüz (1922)
Özet
In January 1922, the war between the Saray and the Ankara press was taken to the caricature
of Ay Dede and Güleryüz. From January to November, the violence of this war has gradually
waned and, after the Büyük Taarruz, resulted in the final victory of Ankara and, hence,
Güleryüz. In this study, this process was examined through the cartoons in the two humor
magazines. The theoretical ground of the study is based on the theories of humor and in
particular the theory of superiority. Information and opinions that help to put the cartoons into
the historical process are included in the text. The findings of the theoretical examination are
given in the conclusion.
