Yalçın Tura Viyolonsel Konçertosunun Müzik Formu ve İcra Teknikleri Açısından İncelenmesi

Abstract

This research aims to provide information in terms of music stucture and playing techniques and its composer for cellists, cello teachers, educators, and researchers who want to interpret Yalçın Tura’s cello concerto. The literature review showed that this concerto has an important place in the Turkish cello repertoire and has not been studied academically. Document analysis and interviews from qualitative research techniques were used in terms of research method. First, interviews were held with the composer and three cellists who had previously interpreted the piece, and the data obtained were interpreted descriptively. Then, the piano and orchestra accompaniment score of the work were discussed. Structure, style features, and cello playing techniques used were determined as document review criteria. Analyzes were made and interpreted according to these criteria. Form analyzes is shown on the accompanied score of the piece at the appendix.
