Alt Ekstremite Yaralanma Hikayesi Olan ve Olmayan Latin Dans Sporcularında Fonksiyonel Performansın Karşılaştırılması
Özet
The aim of this study was to compare the functional performance levels of Latin dance athletes with and without a history of lower extremity injury. 85 dancers registered to a private dance sports club were included in this study. The age, body mass index, dance experience, dominant leg status of the professional dance athletes were matched and divided into two groups according to their injury history. The first group was consisted of 18 female and 7 male dancers [age: 24 (22-26) years, body mass index: 21.2 ± 2.4 kg/m2, dance experience: 5 (4-13) years] who had a history of lower extremity injury in the last 6 months and described pain during dance and the second group was formed 18 female and 7 male dancers [age: 23 (21-25) years, body mass index: 20.3 ± 2.0 kg/m2, dance experience: 5 (3-10) years] without a history of lower extremity injury (no pain during dance). Dynamic balance was measured with Y balance test; single leg hop performance was evaluated with single leg anterior, medial, and lateral side triple hop test; double leg vertical jump height was evaluated with the My Jump 2 application. Dynamic balance performance in Y balance anterior (p=0.04), posteromedial (p=0.03), posterolateral (p=0.02) directions and single leg anterior (p<0.001), medial triple hop (p<0.001), lateral triple hop (p=0.01) performance of the injured group was less than the group without injury. There was no difference in double leg vertical jump measurements between the groups (p>0.05). In the clinic, Y balance test and single leg jump tests can be preferred to see the effects of injury history on balance and jump performance in Latin dance athletes.
