Yūsuf ve Zelīḫā’nın Karşılaştırmalı Eşdizim İncelemesi
Özet
The aim of this thesis study is to determine the collocations in the work named
Yūsuf and Zelīḫā belonging to the Old Anatolian Turkish Period. The mathnawi
of Yūsuf and Zelīḫā, written by Şeyyād Ḥamza, is worth examining in terms of
having the characteristic features of Old Anatolian Turkish. In the first part of this
thesis, the development of Old Anatolian Turkish and the works and writers of
this period are mentioned. In the second part, the life of Şeyyād Ḥamza and the
mathnawi of Yūsuf and Zelīḫā, which constitutes the sample of our thesis, are
emphasized. In the third part of our thesis, theoretical information about
collocation is given. In the fourth part; collocations formed with noun+noun,
noun+verb, verb+verb, adjective+noun, adverb+verb, adverb+adjective patterns
were examined in accordance with the mixed approach. In the formation of
collocations, sometimes the criterion of significance and sometimes of frequency
is decisive. The way to reveal all collocations in a text is to consider both
significance and frequency criteria. In this direction, we preferred this approach
because we found it more functional to use the mixed approach, which considers
these two criteria together. In this thesis, the phrase "comparative" is included in
the title, since other works of the period (Dede Korkut and Süheyl ü Nev-bahār)
are also used, in addition to the main work, Yūsuf and Zelīḫā mathnawi. In the
fifth part of our thesis, the Turkish equivalents of the collocations determined in
Old Anatolian Turkish are shown with examples taken from the Turkish National
Corpus (TUD). This thesis study has contributed to the collocation theme of
Western Turkish within the framework of Old Anatolian Turkish.
