İzometrik Mobil Oyunlarda Modüler Tasarım Yöntemleri ve Bir Uygulama Çalışması
Özet
Throughout history, video games graphics have progressed in parallel with developing and changing technology. While the video games developed in the early seventies had a very simple structure due to the hardware features of the game-playing devices (console, arcade machines) of the era, the increasing graphics processing capacity of the game-playing devices in the following years led to the birth of two-dimensional graphics and then the emergence of three-dimensional graphics. provided the output. Thanks to these developments, today's game graphics have reached a size that can be considered quite realistic.
Isometric game graphics, on the other hand, were used to obtain a three-dimensional view in video games when the devices were not yet sufficient in terms of hardware. With this method, two-dimensional game graphics were designed to form three dimensions and used in games, so that games that can be run on devices with limited hardware features of the period, rich in graphics quality, were developed and presented to the player. In addition, isometric graphics are suitable for the modular design method that provides the opportunity to create game contents quickly and efficiently, and they are still seen in games today with their contributions to the gameplay features of the game.
In this study, an application study was conducted to determine the benefits of using isometric graphics in games played on mobile devices, and it was aimed to reveal the advantages and disadvantages of isometric graphics in the mobile game development process through the application study.
