Bir Üniversite Hastanesinde Çalışan Hemşirelerin Sağlığın Geliştirilmesi ile İlgili Görüşleri ve Sağlıklı Yaşam Biçimi Davranışları

On, B., The University Hospital Nurses’ Opinion About Health Promotion and Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors, Hacettepe University Health Sciences Institute, Public Health Nursing Program Master Thesis, Ankara, 2016. This study was carried out as descriptive design to the aim of determining the university hospital nurses’ opinion about health promotion and healthy lifestyle behaviors. The sample of the study was comprised 378 nurses working in Hacettepe University Adult Hospital and accepted to participate in the study. As a data collection tool, a questionnaire prepared to evaluate the opinions of nurses about health promotion and personal-professional characteristics and Healthy Life-Style Behaviors Scale-II were used. During the evaluation of datas, Kolmogorov-Smirnov Normalizing Test, Comparing two independent groups Mann Whitney U Test and more than two independent group comparisons Kruskal Wallis Test were applied. As a result of the study, it was determined that nurses’ opinion about health promotion were incomplete and inadequate. It was determined that healthy lifestyle behaviors of nurses were medium-level and behaviors related to spiritual growth were the highest and behaviors related to physical activity were the lowest. The healthy lifestyle behaviors of the 36 years and over nurses, married nurses, nurses who have 11 years of work experience and over, nurses working in the outpatient clinic, nurses who have received prior information on the health promotion and nurses who have finded adequate this information were found higher (p<0,05). According to the results of the study, it has been suggested that in-service training should be done to the nurses about health promotion and improving the health of nurses regulations should be made in hospitals and nurses should be supported the development of health care for patients and the effects of training programs and regulations should be investigated for nurses’ opinion about health promotion and healthy lifestyle behaviours.
