Günübirlik Cerrahi Girişim Geçiren Hastaların Postoperatif Dönemde Yaşadıkları Sorunların Belirlenmesi

The study was conducted in a descriptive type in order to evaluate the problems experienced by patients who underwent outpatient surgery in the postoperative period. The universe of the research is in Ankara Nallıhan State Hospital; Patients who underwent outpatient surgery in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Urology, Gynecology and Obstetrics clinics. The study sample included 270 patients who met the inclusion criteria and underwent day surgery. Research data were collected by the researchers through forms prepared based on the literature. One of these forms, the "Introductory Information Form" was interviwed face-to-face with the patients on the day of surgery and " Problems to may be Experienced After the Surgery Form" was applicated postoperative 1st.,3rd. and 7th day patients follow-up with phone. Descriptive statistics (number, percentage, mean, standard deviation), Chi-Square, Fisher's Exact Test, Freeman Halton, Cochrane Q and McNemar tests were used in the statistical analysis of the data. Logistic regression analysis was applied to determine the factors affecting the problems experienced after discharge. According to the research findings, the most common problem on the postoperative 1st day was pain with 84,1%. It was determined that the patients generally experienced mild to moderate pain. On the postoperative 1st day, 60% of the patient movement restriction, 47,8% anxiety-fear, 41,5% bleeding-leakage, 31,1% fatigue, 25,6% had sleep problems experienced. It was determined that the experienced problems decreased from the 1st to the 7th day (p<0,05). As a result of the study, it is recommended to provide follow-up of the patients by telephone after discharge and to provide consultancy service for the problems they may experience after discharge and to solve of these problems.
