İnfertilite Tanısı Alan Kadınlarda Mahremiyet Algısı Ölçeği'nin Geliştirilmesi
Özet
This research was carried out as a methodological research to develop a measurement tool to determine the perception of privacy in women diagnosed with infertility. The thesis work was carried out in two stages. In the first phase, a scale item pool was created in line with the data obtained by making observations and in-depth individual interviews with the qualitative research method. Qualitative data was collected through observation and in-depth individual interviews by using the “Semi-Structured Observation Form” and “Semi-Structured Interview Form for Women Diagnosed with Infertility” at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine IVF unit, Etlik Zübeyde Hanım Gynecology Training and Research Hospital IVF unit and Gürgan Clinic IVF unit between December and June 2020. In the second phase, the validity-reliability analyses were performed via the quantitative research method by using the quantitative research method. Quantitative data of the research was collected to analyze the validity and reliability of the "Perception of Privacy Scale for Women Diagnosed with Infertility" developed within the scope of this research between April-September 2021 at Gürgan Clinic IVF unit. The scale form for the pre-application was performed with 30 volunteer women who were being treated at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine IVF unit. The data with the scale accomplished the last version after the pre-application was collected with 150 women who were being treated at the Gürgan Clinic IVF center, and exploratory factor analysis was applied to these data. The data with the scale formed as a result of exploratory factor analysis were collected from 150 women again and confirmatory factor analysis of the scale was performed. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis, the scale with 37 items was finalized. To increase the proof of the scale's reliability, the scale was applied to a new study group of 70 people twice with an interval of 3 weeks. After factor analysis, the factor loads of the items were determined as between 0,30 and 0,87, and the scale was specified with a single-factor structure with an eigenvalue above 1,00 and explaining 45,188% of the total variance. According to the confirmatory factor analysis findings; the single-factor structure of the scale was stated as valid and its model-data fit was sufficient. The item-total score correlations of the scale were ranged from 0,339 to 0,809 and its total Cronbach's alpha coefficient as 0,949 were found and these values were highly reliable for internal consistency. According to the test-retest results; the Scale of Perception of Privacy in Women Diagnosed with Infertility did not change over time. Consequently, the scale was determined as a valid and reliable measurement tool in determining the perception of privacy of women diagnosed with infertility.
