This study was planned in order to investigate effects of temporal adaptation approach (TAA) in individuals with stroke after discharge. In the study including 54 individuals with stroke, randomly 28 of the individuals were applied TAA twice a week for 6 weeks, while the general condition of 26 patients was followed up by phone after discharge. After the intervention, the participants were followed for 1 month. The occupations that the participants have problems in daily life, the performance and satisfaction levels of these occupations were evaluated with the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure, the hours when the target occupations of the TAA group will be included in daily life were evaluated with the Modified Occupation Questionnaire, the level of the occupational balance of the individuals were evaluated with the Occupational Balance Questionnaire, the mobility skills were evaluated with the Rivermead Mobility Index, fatigue levels were evaluated with the Fatigue Severity Scale, anxiety and depression levels were evaluated with the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, and their quality of life and general health conditions were evaluated with the EQ-5D-3L General Quality of Life Scale. In conclusion, improvement was observed in the in the TAA group's occupational performance and satisfaction (p=0.001), occupational balance (p=0.001), mobility ability (p=0.001), fatigue level (p=0.002), anxiety-depression level (p=0.001), life quality (p=0.05) and general health status (p=0.01) and a statistically significant difference was found between before and after the intervention. In these areas, there was no statistically significant difference found in the control group. In order to findings, it was thought that due to the positive effects of TAA, individuals with stroke would benefit by bringing a different perspective to rehabilitation practices. With TAA, it has been founded that the occupational performance, balance and satisfaction increased in the daily activities organized by the individuals stated according to their wishes. At the same time, it has been revealed that TAA, which has a positive effect on mental and physical condition, should be included in rehabilitation programs after discharge. However, long-term follow-up is required in order to monitor the behavioral changes in chronic period stroke individuals and to see the effectiveness of TAA better.
