Tasarım Sürecinde Görsel Düşünme ve Görsel Anlatım Ilişkisine Analitik Bir Yaklaşım

Abstract

This research studies the relationship between visual thinking and visual expression, which is the key stage of creative thinking and developing creative thoughts in the design process. First, the thesis, examines the operation process of visual thinking and visual expression separately and then by together. The introduction of the dissertation gives general information about the topic. And by referring to the already existing studies within the field, the study tries to make a new and fresh reformation. The second chapter, examines the design process stage; visual thinking and the position of abstract design datas in design thinking. It investigates the visual thinking stage is a sub-process in the macro design process. Third chapter of the thesis, focuses on the visual expression stage. The chapter examines the appearance and development of sketches and their quailification and kinds. Depending on the previous ones, the forth chapter investigates the relation between visual thinking and visual expression, which occurs to a questioning and analising action. This relation unveils the cyclic systematic of content and form. The following chapter analyzes, designer sketches according to the questioning and solving actions, mentioned in the forth chapter. This analysis, notes the succes and eficiency of the process.The result facts of the cyclic systematic in the process are discovered in the sixth chapter. This chapter emphasizes on the missing and the key facts, which occur through one of the most creative stages in design process.
