Having children with autism causes to economic, psychological emotional and social difficulties, stands out the concept of resilience that makes it easier for families to overcome these difficulties. The problem of this research; family resilience levels related to the problems experienced by families with children with autism and strategies to cope with these resilience levels, the extent to which social support systems and perceived stress affect are not adequately addressed in the social work literatüre, and therefore the lack of sufficient knowledge base in providing assistance to families. The main purpose of this problem-related research is to identify the problems that families have in the care of their children, to determine the factors that affect the family resilience level, to measure the effects of families' coping strategies, social support systems and perceived stress levels. This study was done in relational scanning type which is one of the quantitative research models. The sample of the study consists of 213 mothers and 87 fathers with children diagnosed with autism in Ankara and Kırıkkale. In the research, Family Resilience Scale (FRS), Coping Styles Scale Short Form, Revised Parent Social Support Scale (RPSSS), Perceived Stress Scale were used and Personal Information Form prepared to determine the socio-demographic information of families was used. The data obtained in the research were analyzed by transferring them to the SPSS 24 package program. In the analysis of the data, the normal distribution was examined and used in order to examine whether there are differences between groups, independent groups t-test, one-way analysis of variance analysis and multiple regression analysis techniques for predicting the dependent variable based on the independent variables to understand the relationship between dependent and independent variables. At the end of the analyzes, it was found that the income level, number of children, active and passive coping methods and social support systems of families with children with autism positively affect the level of family resilience. According to the results of the study, fathers’level of family resilience is higher than the mothers and the service that families need most is psychological support. This study is expected to be guiding in terms of providing services that will increase the resilience of families with children with autism.
