| dc.description.abstract | The long-term contradiction between performance and theory in Turkish music has caused various problems in the area of education. The main reason behind these problems seem to be many contradictory ideas about topics such as ‘the main scale, intervals and intonations (frets)’. We think that the selection of the right ‘basic scale’ should be a remedial factor for solving the problems preventing the unification of performance and theory in Turkish music. Within this study, it is proposed to grant the ‘natural C major (A=440hz)’ scale-that is adop-table to the historical Turkish Music scale of 17 frets as the scale of Rast makam. Such an acceptance in the areas of performance and education will help to increase the international recognition of Turkish music, strengthen the ‘performance-theory’ unification and support the coordination between the musical notation and the performance. | tr_TR |

| dc.description.ozet | Türk Müziği eğitiminde yıllardır süregelen icra ve nazariyat arasındaki çelişki, müzik eği- timi açısından çeşitli problemlere yol açmıştır. Söz konusu uyuşmazlıkların temelini ‘ana dizi, aralıklar ve perde sistemi’ ile ilgili-zaman zaman birbirleriyle çelişen-çeşitli fikirler oluşturmaktadır. Türk Müziğinde icra-teori birliğini sağlama noktasında ‘ana dizinin’ seçi- minin önemli bir etken olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu anlamda tez kapsamında, Türk Mu- sikîsinde yüzyıllardır kullanılagelen 17 perdeli sistemi etkin bir biçimde yansıtan ve referans sesi olarak La=440hz’i esas alan ‘doğal do dizisinin’ Rast dizisi olarak kabul edilmesi öne- rilmektedir. Böylesi bir kabulün icra alanına ve eğitim müziğine kazandırılmasının hem Türk Müziği’nin evrensel platformda tanınır olması hem icra ile teori arasındaki birlikteliğin daha güçlü bir biçimde sağlanabilmesi hem de ‘nota yazım sistemi’ ile icra arasında bağlantının güçlendirilebilmesi adına önem arz ettiği düşünülmektedir. | tr_TR |
