Monitoring training load, it provides clarification of the change in performance in athletes, clarity of the response to training, determination of fatigue and it reduces the risk of overload by setting the limits of the athlete. The aim of this study was to determine and monitor the load and fatigue values of elite male fencing athletes aged 15-23 years old by objective and subjective methods. Seventeen athletes (17.12 ± 2.85 ages; 7.18 ± 1.95 ages of sport) participated in the study. Neuromuscular monitoring was performed with countermovement jump test (CMJ) and fencing change of direction test (COD). Training load, Acute/Chronic Workload Ratio (ACWR), and monotony values were determined by the session Rating Perceived Exertion (sRPE) scale. The Hooper Index questionnaire was used to monitor wellness. All 18 weeks of data collected, training and competition periods were monitored by being divided into weeks. The Freidman Test was used to examine the weekly differences between the variables. The Generalized Estimating Equations (GEE) approach was used to examine the effect of other variables on neuromuscular status and wellness. When the results were examined, it was observed that CMJ was affected by soreness and ACWR (p<0.05). It was observed that Fencing’s COD test was affected by injury, training, sleep quality, soreness and ACWR (p<0.05).
