Abstract

Nowadays, with the increasing number of studies, it is conferred that many studies conducted with different samples on the same topic, have different results from each other. Meta analysis is the statistical method which aims to get a brief result, combining studies on the same topic to resolve the problem having different conclusions on the same topic. Survival analysis needs technical meta analysis methods to combine studies because of including cencored data.Studies that include hazard ratio for effects of BMI of women with breast cancer on deaths from breast cancer and any other cause, are compiled for meta analysis and, in this way, a brief result has been reached.Pubmed and Scopus were searched by using prognosis, BMI, obesity, survival, breast cancer keywords and attained 105 studies till November 2013.
