Drosophila Melanogaster'de Gelişim Biyolojisi Üzerine Bazı Antidepresanların Etkilerinin Araştırılması
Özet
In this study, the work is done by studying with widely prescribed selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) sertraline, fluoxetine and citalopram, which are recently started to be seen as waste materials in aquatic environments like seas, lakes and rivers. With the aim of revealing possible detrimental effects that these inhibitors may have for living organisms, primarily humans, the model organism Drosophila melanogaster, which has broad hormonal and physiological similarities with humans, is used. The effects of these inhibitors on model organism s developmental biology trades, like development stages from larvae to adult, mean offspring numbers, sex ratios and fecundity, have been investigated.
