Açımlayıcı Faktör Analizinde Kullanılan Faktör Çıkartma Yöntemlerinin Karşılaştırılması

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare factor extraction methods used inexploratory factor analysis according to sample size and the communality levelconditions.In this simulation study, data were generated with respect to two levels of samplesizes (100, 500), three levels of communality (high, wide and low), with 20variables, 3 factors, and 1000 replications by using SAS program. Correlationmatrices were generated for each condition. Then, these generated matrices wereanalyzed by using SPSS syntax and the differences between extraction methodswere investigated.Initially, the total explained variance after factor rotation was examined withrespect to sample size. I has been found that for data generated within high or lowcommunality levels, when sample size increased, total explained variance afterrotation also increased.
