Nörolojik Defisiti Olmayan Lumbar Bölge Patolojilerinde Bantlama ve Soft Ortez Uygulamalarının Ağrı ve Fonksiyonel Özüre Etkisinin Araştırılması
Özet
This study was planned to investigation of the effect of taping and soft orthoses application on the pain and functional disability in the pathology of lumbar region of without neurologic deficit. On the study were included 63 volunteer patients with lumbar spine pathology. Individuals were randomly divided into three groups that consist of 21 individual. Group I, soft orthotics and stabilization exercise program; Group II, Kinesio taping and stabilization exercise program; Group III, stabilization exercise program were applied. After obtaining demographic data of patients; it was evaluated
with in terms of range of motion and muscle strength. Visual analog scale for pain level, sit and reach test for flexibility in the assessment, time up go (TUG) for
functional ambulation and balance, the modified Schober test for lumbar spine flexibility, the Oswestry Disability Index in the assessment of functional disability and tampa kinesiophobia scale evaluation of kinesiophobia was used. Patients were
taken on treatment program along total 3 weeks of after first evaluation that done
pretreatment. They were reassessed at the end of 3 week treatment and were sent to
their homes, were asked to continue stabilization exercise program and come back to
control after 3 weeks ,at the end of 6 weeks, individuals recent evaluations were
made. Looking to the results obtained from this study, in time, there was a difference
(p <0.05) parameters functional ambulation, flexibility, lumbar flexibility, functional
disability, pain, strength, range of motion in all groups; in assessing the
kinesiophobia, only in Group II was observe significant difference. In comparisons
between groups, there was a difference usually in favor of Group II (p <0.05). In the
light of the results obtained, lumbar region pathologies without neurological deficits,
stabilization exercises have been combined orthotics as well as kinezyo taping
applications reduces pain and functional disability, but it was reached the opinion
that kinezyo taping applied with exercise is superior from other application.
