Özet
In consumer society, love has been commodified by converted into a tradable object. The main problem of this study is the abundant expression of love narratives, seeking for a genuine, pure love; the commodified love form is the only context that expresses love in popular media narratives. The goal is asking questions on love s political qualification and commodification. This study, examines the love narratives in popular magazines with critical discourse analysis, is nourished by Marxist literature and the approaches that combine Marxism and psychoanalysis. It is aimed to rethink of genuine love, the commodification of love, sexual revolutions and the representations of love in media around the terms like alienation , commodification and fetishism .
