Abstract

In this PhD thesis, the social and cultural structures of Turks in Germany have been investigated. The impact of family traditions on their life styles in Germany has been analyzed from the narratives based on the experiences of success and failure. Their leisure, sense of entertainments, families and social circles are formed by communication networks as depending on their worldviews. Their attitudes towards problems and steps taken for their solutions are shaped by traditional structures which they belong to and their worldviews. In order to identify this impact, conversations, chats and narratives have been collected. Subject materials and observations done on site reflect their own positive or negative life experiences.
