Abstract

Main purpose of the thesis called Anatolian Carpets in Mediasch St. Margaret Church, Transylvania is to explain factors that caused, Anatolian made carpets to reach Transylvania and be adored as unique pieces of art.At the final chapter, all information mentioned in this study is summarized and false theories about origin, acquisition, usage and denomination of Anatolian carpets are discussed.In the catalogue part, we tried to depict 35 selected Anatolian carpets from the Mediaş St. Margaret Church in full details with technical specifications and photos.
