Contemporary Artists Istanbul Exhibitions (1980 - ), which are organized by The Association of Painting and Sculpture Museums, are examined and evaluated in terms of cultural and artistic developments of the period.In the period of adaptation to globalization policy since 1980s, Contemporary Artists Istanbul Exhibitions, which is an activity to offer new extensions with its past 34 years, have a significant role in modern contemporary art history of Turkey.In 1980s, interdisciplinary connections increased; disciplinary, formalist art styles such as painting, sculpture and ceramics, gave their place to individual and free expression styles and contents.
