Abstract

Deformation, which emerged with concerns to increase the power of aesthetics and expression in art, has continued its existence in the work areas that have increased with the development of technology today. One of the fields that has deformities in its nature is glitch art. Visual and audio data, which are deformed as reflections of hardware/software errors in digital environments, create the materials of glitch art; To create innovative aesthetic approaches and to evaluate the margin of error of technology for artistic pursuits has been one of the starting points that created the art of glitch. Glitch art, which attracts the attention of artists from different disciplines, has an expanding field of influence and deforms the forms it enters while entering many different forms. In this study, in line with the data collected by the literature review method, the art of glitch and digital-analog error images, which have turned into a form of expression as a result of technological developments, are mentioned.
