Yörük/ Türkmen Kültüründe Şamanizm Etkilerinin Sahne Göstergeleri Bağlamında Yorumu ve Bir Uygulama
Özet
Shamanism is an ancient form of belief that we can still find traces of in the nomadic Yuruk/Turkmen communities who came to Anatolia from Central Asia; and whose traces are still widely seen in many geographies and cultures outside of Anatolia. These traces show many similarities in the culture and daily life of nomadic communities today, from rituals, traditions to customs, legends, epics, music, handicrafts, natural remedies and healing methods. The main purpose of this art project to find shamanistic elements in the Yuruk/Turkmen communities of Balıkesir-Edremit Bay and Kazdağı (Mountain of Ida) regions, to discover their interaction points and to determine their similarities. It is the concretization of the original text titled "The Story of Sarıkız, the Saint of Ida..." written by Türel Ezici in parallel with the research-interpretation-implementation process, which is about the Sarıkız Legend of the region.
In the stage application of the text, the environmental plan was established with the signifiers that correspond to the shaman ritual in the Yuruk-Turkmen culture and daily life. The dramaturgy and directorial method of the application was formed through the tectonic style and demonstrative acting style, considering the technical and aesthetic features of story/epic narration. The style of acting in staging was obtained by the individual and collective improvisations of the actors, and the equivalents of the Shaman's use of voice, word and movement in authentic story/epic narration were determined. In the light of these data, the possibilities of shamanic interpretation and expression in terms of word, voice, body, movement in the Yuruk-Turkmen culture were investigated, similarities were determined and a stage performance consisting of shamanic indicators was reached.
