Gündelik Hayatın İzini Sürmek
Özet
This research called “Trace of The Everyday Life” was shaped with a critical approach to our daily lives by taking art-life unity into its center within the framework of art practices carried out in urban. The context of the research is based on Henri Lefebvre's concept of ‘everyday life’and everyday life criticism.
Everyday life is perceived as ordinary, routine daily practices such as eating, drinking, dressing, bathing, sleeping, etc that we repeat everyday. However, there is a difference in meaning between "daily life" and "everyday life”. ‘Daily’ implies stereo typed, routine life practices while ‘everyday life' corresponds to an abstract reality in which the individual is directed and occupied. Everyday life is something that cannot be grasped and limited, although it seems simple and ordinary. Everyday life which is familiar, repetitive and perceived superficially, is actually the field of a structure dand planned program. Changing the imposed daily life depends on the holistic critique of everyday life. Dada and later avant-garde art movements such as Surrealist, Fluxus, Cobra, Lettrist, and Situationist International that emphasized the unity of life and art, using art as a tool to transform social consciousness and everyday life. Especially the situationist movement aimed to build a free and creative future for all urban areas with various artistic practices.
In this study, the traces of everyday life have been traced through critical art practices that overflow into the streets, street and square maps of personal and collective experiences, practices of removing borders drawn by walking in the city, and various artistic practices that remind some of the traumatic events experienced in the past. In this study, the possibilities of creating another everyday life and contributing to the construction of the human being himsel fand his city were explored through art practices.
