Özet
In this present study, where ‘the concept of space’ is examined through the items that take part in the definition of space and the relationships established between these items and the functional situations created by the relations between the items are investigated by addressing the concept of the Museum of Architecture, which has not yet been known in our country. The Netherlands Architecture Institute was studied as a spatial case analysis.
In the first part of the study, the concept of space is assessed by the elements that create the space and the connection between these items by examining the organization created by these relations. In the second part, ‘the museum’ has been defined and the introduction about the museums has been followed the explaining emergence of architectural museums and their spatial requirements by demonttrating additional examples from different countries. In the third chapter as a last, The Netherlands Architecture Institute, which is an architectural centre where various structures were inter-shaped with the integrated functionality of an archive, an exhibition, an office, a library, food and drink area, is examined altogether in more detail.
