This study aimed to assess the present state of at-risk infants who showed Cramped Synchronized (CS) movement pattern in preterm and writhing periods evaluated by Prechtl Analysis and its relation with the results of Prechtl Analysis in long-term follow-up. Forty-eight at-risk infants with mean gestational age 29.4 ± 2.39 weeks, and mean birth weight 1275 ± 413.45 g. were included in this study. In preterm period of inpatient infants and in attainable outpatient infants in writhing and fidgety periods were assessed by general movements. Additionally, in corrected ages of 6, 9, 12, 18, and 24 months; Gross Motor Function Measure-88 (GMFM-88), Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS), tone, babinsky and clonus evaluations were done. The Bayley 3 Scales of Infant and Toddler Development ( Bayley– 3 ) was applied in the last control of infants between 0 - 42 months. In conclusion, Cerebral Palsy (CP) in 7 infants, hear-loss in 2 infants, hypertony in 4 infants, hypotony in 1 infant, pervasive developmental disorder in 1 infant, and walking impairment in 1 infant were determinated. Almost 36.4 % of the infants in this study were affected in different degrees. Twenty-eight babies (58.3%) showed normal development in follow-up period. Our study showed that babies with prematurity and low birth weight, especially showing CS movement patterns, should be closely followed-up by multi-disciplinary approach and also Prechtl Analysis is important in determining the risks.
