| dc.description.abstract | In the The Problematic of Tradition in Contemporary Turkish Painting themed thesis, the concept of tradition in Modern Contemporary Turkish art has been discussed and an assessment has been made via a number of selected artists.It has been seen that in Modern Contemporary Turkish art, nearly in every period from Early Republican Period to today, there has been a contact with tradition in various ways; however, in some specific periods, certain notions such as memory, recollection, tradition, past history and identity have become prominent. On the other hand it has been observed that the relationships which the artists developed with the tradition have different motives reasons with the effect of political, social and cultural circumstances. | tr_TR |

| dc.description.ozet | Çağdaş Türk Resminde Gelenek Sorunsalı konulu tezde, Modern Çağdaş Türk sanatındaki gelenek kavramı ele alınmış ve belirlenen sanatçı seçkisi üzerinden bir değerlendirme yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Modern Çağdaş Türk sanatında, erken Cumhuriyet döneminden günümüze kadar hemen her dönemde gelenek le çeşitli şekillerde ilişki kurulduğu; ancak belli dönemlerde anı, bellek, gelenek, geçmiş, tarih, kimlik gibi kavramların öne çıktığı görülmüştür. Öte yandan siyasal, toplumsal, kültürel koşulların etkisiyle sanatçıların geçmişle ve gelenekle kurdukları ilişkinin değişik nedenleri gerekçeleri olduğu gözlenmiştir. Bunlardan ilki Erken Cumhuriyet Dönemi nde ortaya çıkan geçmişle ilişkiyi zayıflatmak olarak değerlendirebileceğimiz yaklaşımdır. Bu durum yeni bir gelecek oluşturma, yeni bir bellek edinme ile eşanlamlıdır ve fütürist bir yaklaşım sergiler. | tr_TR |
